Our Gastro Tour which starts from Split harbour will take You to the beautiful boat trip around Marjan hill, peninsula Čiovo, and the visit of old town of Trogir. While driving along the coast of the Marjan hill, which simbolises 1700 years old city of Split, You will feel the real atmosphere of the Mediterranean climate. In the first part of the tour, that will take about 40min, You will past by the famous „Villa Tito“ and You will find out something about the past and the modern times of the city. There is a story about Tito and his private life; according to that story, he used to hide his mistresses there, when he was alone, of course He adored drinking scotch on his terrace and on the same terrace he was sitting with Mr Winston Churchill. Indian ex president Indira Gandhi enjoyed her holidays in the villa too, but she also enjoyed the countryside. The villa is almost 100 years old and Tito used it from 1947. That was one of his two famous villas in ex Yugoslavia. The excursion will be flavoured by the home made specialties such as dalmatian prosciutto ham, slavonian paprika flavoured salami so called kulen, famous cheese from the island of Pag with olives, capers, and so much more... After 40min of sailing, You will enjoy about 1.30h the crystal clear water on the peninsula Čiovo where You can realy relax. We will also present the unusual coolinary show in which You will learn how to prepare see fruits and use and combine a different dalmatian flavours in the food we are going to prepare. After lovely lunch we will take You to the historic city of Trogir which is situated on the small island between the Dalmatian mainland and the island of Čiovo. Trogir is situated 27km west of the city Split. Its historic centre has been included in the UNESCO list of the world heritage sites. Trogir has a 2300 years of continues urban tradition. Its culture was created under the influence of the ancient Greeks, than the Romans and Venetians. It has a high concentration of palaces, churches and towers, as well as fortresses on the small island. Almost on the end of our journey You will not miss the chance of jumping in to the see from our sailing boat, because this is one of the unforgettable moments for all our guests, for kids and for the adults.
